Front Covers, Back Insert and Disc

Other than the Arcade logos, the scans are a good representation of each version.

Front Cover

The original has a paler colors overall, particularly the "Sapphire" logo with it's light lemon-yellow to bubblegum-pink gradient. The bootleg's logo has a more vibrant orange to hot-pink grandient and is an easy give-away.
In the original, Sapphire White(the girl)'s outfit is made up of shades of purple, even her gloves are a purple-grey. In the counterfeit, her outfit and most of the rest of the cover are made up from a blue gradient.
The space ship's yellow sections are solid yellow in the original but are dark and orangy in the fake.
The original's Arcade logo is a dull darker orange color but the bootleg's is a very bright neon-orange.
The original is sharp and clear with no color bleading. The counterfeit is blurrier and the layers of color weren't printed evenly so there is overlapping.
The white stars are more noticible in the background of the original, but most are missing on the fake.
The counterfeit cover is thicker than a real PC Engine manual and has a different finish.

Back Insert

The overlapping colors are very noticible on the fake. Almost every square such as screenshots have a white boarder on the top and right sides.
The blue background of the original is lighter and the blue screenshots are darker. The blue background of the counterfeit is dark and the blue screenshots are actually lighter.
There is a pattern of light dots/pixelization in the blue background of the fake but the original looks solid with a much higher resolution of un-noticible dots.
The original's Arcade logo is a dull darker orange color but the bootleg's is a very bright neon-orange.
The original is sharp and clear with no color bleading. The counterfeit is blurrier, especially the screenshots.

Disc

The original has a thin inner CD ring and much more clear plastic at the center. The counterfeit has a very thick inner CD ring with a noticible barcode plus less clear plastic.
The original has HCD5080 printed on the middle left of the top side and HRH800925-1SAAS printed on the middle right of the top side. The bootleg has * CARE4DATA KEC2CMG924CDREO * 1 printed on the bottom side with IFPI LM46 in tiny letters above the 'CDREO'.
